unknown has been reported with number 01629340966 as Harassment calls
Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc.
I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues.
How do I know this was a scam? 1) I am not even with Virgin! 2) The number is not recognised in searches and is certainly not attached to Virgin. Beware!!
