   This number just called me twice. The first time I put the phone down. He called back straight away claiming to be from BT. He told me he knew my name and address which he proceeded to tell me. Both were wrong. He wanted me to write a security number down. I refused told him I thought it was a scam and put the phone down. He had a strong Asian accent and asked me how I was. BT don't do that and they always ask for my husband and won't speak to me as my name isn't on the bill

   caller claimed to be from bt about bill - not a recognised bt number so declined to discuss. 1471 revealed above no and again when dialled got message "this number is not in service" so clearly a scammer.

   Microsoft scam. Surely something needs to be done about these people! Is this just a thief calling. .. I have very little time or respect for these callers.

   My elderly mother had a call from this number today, lucky I was there and answered. They claimed to be from BT saying that as she has been a long term customer they were going to give her a reduced line rental for three months and free internet access, when I asked how do I know that it is BT, they hung up, called 1471 to get the number but when you phone the number a voice tell you the number is not used
