A lady with a very strong Indian accent rang saying that they were calling customers from the Automobile Company. I told her I wasn't a customer of theirs. Not in tune with her accent I couldn't understand everything she was saying. I asked her what my name was and she insisted that she just had the number. She then told me that they were offering 20% off O2 renewal. I asked her what my password was to confirm to me they were indeed O2. I then gave her a lesson in predictive dialling - that's call centre software as I'd worked in that industry some while ago. I told her that she was lying and that the system would give her a number and a name. I think I may have cut her off before I told her to piss off. These calls are really annoying and it's sad that there are some people that will fall for them. If in doubt, hang up and call the company direct from the numbers that you already have in your correspondence with them.
