   hmrc tax call scam.
   call states that you are under investigation and to press 1 to speak to an adviser.
   do not press anything, hang up the phone.
   hmrc will never call you on the telephone.
   as a series of general rules for cold callers and questionable callers:
   never interact with them and do not give out any details over the phone, also do not confirm any details that they might have about you.
   get their number, even if it is incomplete or is an unvalid number it can still be traced, report the incident date/time/number.
   if we all do this maybee, just maybee we can shut them all down and arrest the individuals involved.

   hm tax office scam, automated call, "hm revenue are starting a court case against you, press 1 to be put through to your case officer." authoritative, convincing voice, sounds like a professional fraud.
