keeps ringing when answered the phone goes dead

Called me today no one spoke then line went dead jokes

keeps asking me for my name without telling me who is calling,says he has good news for me once i give him my name and address,my names billy not silly so i told them nothing and then he called me a waste of his time and put the phone down on me

I had a missed call, rang them back and they knew my name and address said they could help me with my debts When I said I didnt have any he laughed and hung up! I was recently a victim of fraud (actually had my bank account emptied) so I wouldnt trust this number at all!!

I rang the number from a land line,it went straight to an automated service which gave no name only asked whether i knew the extension to call, it then asked if you want to speak to an operator press 0 but when I did it said that this key was inactive. I would not answer a call from this number, seems very suspicious.

They rang me, I answered and it sounded like a call centre in the background (people talking and the sound of a keyboard was being tapped). After a split second they hung up on me. So I'm guessing it was to check my number was in fact active.
