   I keep getting calls from London numbers...sayingvthey are sky promotions can offer 40% discount ect ect.
   
   The first call i answered due ti them knowing alot of information I agreed when they wanted my personal details i refused they wanted the usuap information and bank details I refused. They told me to check my sky account the day after as the phone will be added to the account and all I had to do was sign the agreement. As informed the phone was in my account so I signed and phone was delivered. They phoned me back to take the promotion code from the package that was not in there. All of a sudden the wrong phone has been sent and I need to send it back they sent royal mail to collect the parcel. I spoke to royal mail asked them the address it was being sent to turned out a flat in Manchester so we said nope not sending it (from the first phone call I was trying to contact sky to confirm it was actually them as I am always suspicious but systems were down ect ect). I never sent the phone with royal mail. They phoned me back as they hadn't had confirmation that royal mail had picked up so I now strung them along knowing it was a scam for definite. I phoned Manchester police to report the address. But as they hadn't had any other reports for that address they wouldn't attend it and as technically i hadnt lost anymoney it wasnt actually a crime as i still had the phone. I reported to action fraud and again they won't do anything. Do not agree to anything from anyone phoning you directly even if they already have your details and can get into your account. Hang up and phone the company directly (even though sky were not bothered with any of the information we were giving them) they could at least tell us eventually that they will never phone you with promotions. This person already knew that even though it's my phone number the contract is under my partners name. They new the email address to the account and apparently they managed to order the phone online to my account even though I didn't give then one peice of full information I.e. bank details I gave them last 2 digits that's it. I am so careful but they even fooled me. So all London numbers now are suspicious. They have called me 20 times different numbers since to try the same thing even though I have told them I have contacted the police they know the police won't do anything. They also clone mobile phone numbers to imitate dpd to make it look like they are trying to deliver the correct phone (to make you take the original one to post office) as at a certain point I realised and there was no way I was sending phone to a random address so I just played along and tried to keep them going until I had spoken to the police. But as soon as they said nothing they can do I blocked the numbers previously from them but they are still trying. Got to hand it ro them for persistence. So just keep an eye out for your elderly relatives as if I can get caught up with it I wouldn't like to know how they will harass people who are not as careful as me. Just shows anyone can be a target.
