RTA Scam. They are breaking the law by cold calling numbers on the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). I think the best way to hit them where it hurts (if you have the time) is to keep the on the line as long as possible, keeping them thinking you are/might be interested, without giving out personal (or real) details. If each & every person they rang did this just once (for 10-15 mins or linger if poss), that would cost them loads of money in time & resource! If you ring off quickly, they have incuured little cost and have more time to move on to the next person. The fact that the only piece of info they have is my phone number is a good conversation piece: no name, no address, no car details, no dates. I say it makes no sense that they would only be given a phone number, then ask for them to prove they are legitimate. Record is just over 16 mins. :)
