I live in Manchester. Just had a call from these people trying to guide me to allow them remote access to my computer to "fix problems". I knew it was a scam to rip personal info from my computer. Just wanted to share that they are now contacting phone numbers in the Manchester area - be warned

Asian sounding man trying to say that my Mom's PC has errors; they tryed to have her give remote access to the PC.
He claimed he was from Microsoft and gave the following number when my Mom asked for it: 02081334233

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OR ALLOW THEM TO GUIDE YOU ON YOUR PC.

They will take all information of value from your computer!

They do use scare tactics! They will ask questions like "Do you not care that your computer will crash any day now!"

These people are scum, preying on people that have limited knowlege around IT.
