I live with/am a carer for my mum who is in the early stages of alzheimers. Got a call from this number asking for her by name, I said 'who is speaking?', got a mumbled name and then asked to confirm my (correct) postcode. I said I wouldn't confirm or deny it until they told me who they were, they hung up on me. It sounded like a very busy call centre, and there was the long pause between me saying hello and them answering that suggests they're dialling multiple numbers at a time. All very suspicious, and something I worry about in the future when mum deteriorates!

Keeps on and on ringing using different excuses. Sometimes about my washing machine, sometimes nothing. Nuisance.

did i have a washing machine? what the hell is this guy on about. ringing me to wake me up. he had lots of info on me. well i have no intention of giving him any more. If the idea was to say the word `yes` it has failed because who does not have a washing machine these days. i questioned the integrity of his question and he rang off.
