Fred Bear reported "IT Support, London" (Fake) with the number 02554786426 as Harassment calls
I just received a landline call from CLID 02554786426, (spoofed, of course), from “IT Support, London”, (in a heavy Indian accent), saying: “Sir, are you aware that someone tried to log into your computer last night at 10 pm from Glasgow?”, to which I replied “Yes, I saw it but I blocked it no problem”, to which he replied “Sir, are you aware this could earn you a £400 fine?”, to which I replied “That’s lovely, just what I need”, at which point he surprisingly rang off.
If ANYBODY rings you up to tell you that you have a computer problem IT’S A SCAM, no matter who they say they are calling from, (sometimes it’s “Microsoft” or sometimes it’s “BT” etc etc) – just hang up!
