regular calls asking for someone named Steve Steve Westwood in an automated American voice, followed by a female Scottish voice urging a call back to the telephone number supplied. Don't have a clue who the bloke they are after is, but they seem keen. Wish they would find his real number and stop ringing me.

Turns out this person was still using my number when applying for credit so callcredit gave them my number. They talked me through contacting them to ask for a disassociation and I've never heard from them since. That was about 2 weeks ago -

Have one reason for "real" PRA group to contact me - but they don't call me on this number, and when they do call me, always leave a VM. (I can see all call numbers on my display; never answer if number is unknown or unwanted, and leave all calls to it to VM. This number never leaves a VM.

Said it was pra group asking for a name that is only accociated with ee (phone contract) no where else have i just it. Ive had this number since the days of T-Mobile when it used to be on pay as you go. Only swapprd it to pay monthly at Christmas and what do you know 41 missed calls since the end of April. before you say they didn't do a credit check because I've been a T-Mobile customer for so long. So they've never had my full proper name this is the only place where I used the name they're asking for. basically what I'm saying is EE have sold my details and now PRA want to scam me for a debt that dont even exist

PRA Group called this morning while I was at work. First time they've called and have never heard of them before. Automated male American accent said my name. Automated female voice said who they were (PRA Group) and that I'm to call them back, no explanation to who PRA Group are or why they want to speak to me. Googled the number to find this site saying they're a debt collection agency. Haven't had any debts since 1997. Will be answering next call to see what bullshit they come out with then blocking them.

Keep calling on a daily basis for a debt to do with BHS. Never had a debt with BHS. Never even knew that they had there own storecards but i have never had a storecard in my life so why they ringing me is a mystery that won't be solved because i wont be giving details to con artist's like these!

This was a debt collectors, I have been getting automated calls for the last 2 weeks, I just hung up, I googled and came across sites like this advising its a debt collector, so just incase it was a debt I didn't know about which I didn't want getting worse I called the 0800 freephone number, the guy asked the number called to which he said a female name, they didn't ask any information other than the person name, I said I've had this number for 3.years and it isn't me, he siad they would update the records and not call again. Sorted,too many people close thier eyes and hope things go away, your auto dialed so it's not going away until you tell them it's not your debt or pay your bill, easy fix

Constant harrasement.. they call any day in the week, morning, day and evenings.. leaves automatic voice messages asking me to call them back.. I answered them ones over a year ago and explained that I have not had any debts for the last 14 years, and they've no reason to contact me.. so they stopped calling me.. for 2 months and then it started all over again.. blocked number as Im working nights..and I shouldnt need to explain myself again to whoever they are anyway... Aaaarrrggghhh

Keeps ringing, I don't answer, had a long 6 year dispute with a major high street bank,who incidentally were in the wrong and didn't take me to court but harassed me all the same, all associated debts are long since statue barred and they know this, just trying their luck and having none.

This number calls my elderly parents on their ex-directory number, harassing them about a debt of other 30 years ago with lloyds, which was resolved with lloyds 30 years ago, so is non-existent, this has been explained to them time and time again, they ring on bank holidays, all times of the day and night, up to 20 times a month at one time, I am now looking into taking legal action against them. They also constantly send threatening letters which go straight in the bin, as they have been told if the debt stands, take it to court and send bailiffs, this never happens because they are con men.

PRA buy old debts and then try to collect on them. They write and phone anyone they find with the same name they're looking for and try to bully them into giving enough personal information so they can cross them off their list. Calls blocked, letters go in the bin!

They keep calling our EX Directory Number !!!How did they get this??? and never leave a message so as far as we are concerned THEY are NOT legit!1 and we refuse to answer! We have blocked the number on our main phone but it still rings on our other phone which we are going to stop asap! We will not tolerate being Harrassed and neither should anyone else!! Lets try and stop this once and for all!!

Call several times asking for personal details like address, date of birth, etc.
Please do not give them any personal information. If they were genuine callers they would not be asking for personal information! They had a different address and dob, told me it was someome with the same name as me they were looking for. Were very apologetic and removed my number. Haven't heard since -

PRA Group. Call consistently. However they always ask you to confirm your details which Im not prepared to do. They need to be open and introduce themselves. Otherwise block them. Take there number and call them bk. At least you are in control of the situation and able to discuss things. Knowing that they are who they say they are. Never give your details out. They could be anybody.

They ring me and ask me to confirm my name and date of birth??? They rang me they must know who I am??? They don't tell me who they are or what they want just want me to confirm my personnel details?? Are we not told everyday not to give out personnel details due to fraud

Debt collector. Had been receiving calls daily. Finally answered and they asked for my address and dob! Hung up and did research on the company. Called them back as I didn't think I had any debts. Gave them my details, but they had my old address. Confirmed that. Turns out I did have a debt from a few years ago that wasn't yet statute barred.i have been in a very bad place mentally and the lady I spoke to was very nice and I felt comfort telling her about my situation and she said she was going to hold my account for me for 3 months! Haven't heard since. The lady I spoke to was very nice and very reassuring. I was sonwary about this but I'm so glad I called them back now

They have been told by the courts that the debt is not mine and told not to contact yet 3 times this week alone. Going back to court to get it delbt with yet again but seen as 1st time didnt work I can't see a second time working unless the courts make them pay compensation for harassment
