nPower again. LOTs of calls, texts and emails IMPLYING I have no choice but to change to a smart meter.
WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE.
1) I have been told some installations are UNSAFE!
2) seems to be a risk a new meter would might make it DIFFICULT TO SWITCH to a cheaper provider!
3) Some new meters are causing billing errors.
4) Some meters don’t work due to weak signals in some areas.
5) Some displays are difficult to understand.
6) risk I MIGHT BE CHARGED MORE at peak times.
7) Due to data collected I might get more “junk mail” in the form of targeted ads.
8) Serious concern about “hacking” – it would be clear when the house is unoccupied because we’re away on holiday.
It WON'T SAVE ME ANY MONEY - the electricity is NOT CHEAPER...but...
it will allow electricity companies to save money and INCREASE THEIR PROFITS. -
Was very polite and asked to speak with a woman who Ive never heard of. I just said you have wrong number and he apologised for disturbing me.

Very unprofessional and bordering on incompetent company. There are far better power companies to deal with.
