No way, added to blocked list, been receiving a lot mail for people who have not lived at this address for over 30 years, assume the same bunch of muppets who will now be calling my phone at odd times of the day and night -

I received a letter from this company requesting payment for a debt I do not have. Also enclosed was a copy of a letter from a different company. Lowell claim to have 'bought' the debt. I also had an automated message on my answerphone, requesting me to ring 01133086108. The number at the top of the letter is 08448444716. I've never heard of either company and certainly don't owe them any money. I intend writing to inform them of this and will see what happens. It has been helpful to read of other people's experiences. I just worry what is happening to my credit rating in the meantime.

These people are completely without scruples. They chase debts that do not exist, harras innocent people and when asked for proof of debt and copy of contract, fails to offer anything. They stop for a while and then it starts again. I cannot understand why they are allowed to continue trading.

Been at work all day but my daughter says the landline has been ringing all day long with dozens of calls she didn't answer. She did 1471, got the number, ran it online and it is said to be a debt collection agency.
Well, I don't have any debts that need collecting, so whoever they are have absolutely no reason to ring. Clearly seriously dodgy. -

calls at all times of the day, even up until ten at night from maybe 8 in the morning, they have even called from a mobile number, when iv answered its been automated and tells me they are putting me through to an representitive from lowell, wont be answering again!!! text nessages have also been sent!! constant calls at all times of the day!!

keep ringing at all times of day don't just use this number. company buys debts.i have contacted so called company to find out about any original debt so far no reply they also photocopy company letter but omit department contact and overlay with one of there own subsidiary companies.

calling everyday, do not answer now never leave a message and call until 9.30pm, when my young children are in bed, i have no dept but these calls can be scaring people with dept or limited understanding, should be stopped

These people ring daily with recorded message 'urgent message... ' as per other comments. Only listened to message once, telling me to call some people about a debt which I don't have. I owe nobody except for my building society and have no court orders against me, so I ignore them, but there should be some way to block them/stop them calling. I've never had a real person on the phone even.

calling5x a day!! im ill at home..they ring for ages...really persistant and harrassing! Some regulation of this company and others is desperately needed..wat is wrong with the U.K? I never answer my phone..am paying for a service i cant use freely!! me and countless others noy answering our phones..our service should be half price as not using it fully!!

Why dont they just take me to court if they think I owe them money??? The reason is that they dont have a leg to stand on.

This number calls asking for a person that is unknown to us, we have tried explaining that they have the wrong number, but they wont accept that and wont take us off their calling lists. At times they have been quite aggressive and insisted that we were lying and even shouting at my 11 year old daughter when she explained they have the wrong number

Constant harrassment calls that are requesting an unknown person to call 01133086108 today. I am not the person they are looking for and this is extremely irritating. I am requesting a change of telephone number because of them. Lowell purchase assignment debt for 8p in the pound for anyone who does have any current debt difficulty. Only give them what they paid, ask for the assignation note!!!

These people have called me about 8 times today. The first call was at 8:02 am. So much for being on holiday). Last week it was the same thing. Every single day they called. When I answer the phone its a message saying I need to contact them ASAP and the number is a premium rate number. When you do speak to them they do nothing but threat you. Something really needs to be done about these people.
