This is the number I was given by the fake Talk Talk man who rang on 001800 130279 when I said I would call him back after he had said he wanted to help me with a router problem that was transferring dangerous material to my computer. I must have had nearly a hundred such calls, which last week included ten in two days. Until this week they have been from Withheld numbers but now the criminals are trying to appear more genuine, using various numbers. Their group is identifiable because there is invariably a very noisy background which makes hearing what they want to say near impossible. Usually they ring off after a few seconds. Other times they do not even speak.

For a second time the impersonators of Talk Talk provided this number when I asked how I could call them back. It was a woman, who said she was Lawren Edwards, who gave it. I am not falling for this. Once bitten, twice shy. If I wanted to speak to Talk Talk I would use their 03 number, but as ringing them with a complaints usually wastes at least an hour I am not bothering.
