Called me and didn't recognise number, answered and a woman said she was calling from tesco to ask questions about products. Thought this very odd as tesco normally have a number beginning 08 and the background noise was of people talking and laughing -not very professional or like tesco at all!

Phoned us this morning and asked for my wife by name. Stated he was ringing to complete a satisfaction survey on behalf of her bank (we have a joint account and both of us are named) - although he stated he wasn't allowed to say which bank!!! Politely told him where to go.

Called my mobile today at 18:30 asked for m by name and saying they were working on behalf of Natwest (they ARE my bank). The girl calling had the weirdest phone voice I have ever heard. I hung up without speaking other than answering 'speaking' when they asked for me by name.

I just had a call from this number on my mobile and didn't recognise it. So as I was on the laptop I searched the number and found this information. Thanks to all for putting their comments on the internet. Why do these scum bags who make these calls get away with it?

Heard from a relative they recently received a call (like people commenting in July 2012) from a guy called 'Alex' calling from FACTS on behalf of 'Nat West' and giving a name of customer. Definitely a fraudster, but my relative is worried he made have had his details leaked from the bank, so hung up. Asked me to check the number on the internet and I noticed this website. Told relative to report it to Bank fraud department.

Missed call at 8.35pm on Sunday. They called again 5 minutes later and started off with natwest bank survey. When I refused to answer questions they said they also deal with Anglos water and started questioning me about monthly direct debit. Told them I'm not interested in speaking to them and hung up. Have tried calling me back twice now!

called 8-30pm on my business number with my name and company info. said he was from OFCOM and could I answer a survey on postal system! I thought Ofcom was about telephone companies not postal issues. and phoning a business at 8-30pm. I said the business had ceased trading and he said sorry - I asked who sold him my number and he said "blue seat" but nothing appears on google for this. ODD

Received call after 8pm,was on phone for 26min.Girl asked many question about Natwest,do I happy with them or not,what other bank account I have? she can't prounonce ISA account(said AI-SI-EIaccount),and in the end ask how much my salary in dollars?I said i'm sure we not use dollars here,she ask how sure?After quiestion about date of birth,address and name.

she said thank you,bye.

BTW not good idea to blow the whistle - they may have your address and can sue. -

Call came in at 8.40 pm. She said her name was Teresa calling from Anglia Water. Then it changed to "doing a survey on behalf of Anglia Water". When I said that it was a bit late at 8.40pm to call, she said that was ok as 'they' were open until 9.00. I hung up.

Said they were calling from my bank..which bank I asked and that resulted in stunned silence. Then started on survey. Allowed them to rattle on, then said I'd recorded enought to pass to the authorities. They disconnected and I've had no further calls.

Phoned my mobile when I was at work at 5.45. I'm not allowed to answer phone at work (as I work in a school setting) but had permission as my daughter was still at school doing a play and I was waiting for her to ask me to collect her. I thought the number might have been from her school as it was local. Told them to call back - they haven't yet but I won't answer now I know they are a scam. Thankyou

Call received 8.14pm. The evening, after a long hot day at work is when we like to have some peace. We didn't answer the phone and were glad because we don't have any friends living in the Ashford telephone code area. Thank you to this website for helping to root out pest callers. Incidentally, we are ex-directory and have signed up to BT protection from cold callers which may be evidence that this is a rogue trader.

FACTS is mostly just young people trying to make a living. Most of them go straight after a day at school. they are paid a sickening low amount of money to sit for hours on end calling people and being abused. The next time you want to call them scum/parasites, bear in mind the person who called you could be only 16 years old. The company is asked by banks & other companies to contact their customers to gain customer feedback. They cannot divulge any personal information about the customer they are calling unless the person on the phone confirms they are the customer (not a spouse or child etc) for security reasons. the calls are constantly monitored and if any of them divulge information such as which bank they're calling on behalf of without confirmation that they are speaking to that customer, they can be sacked. I used to work here and it was a horrible, horrible experience due to people like you giving me abuse for an after school job where I was paid £4.40 an hour.
