Big scammers, stay clear. Will use pressure tactics to try and enforce you to sign up to a new contract for your energy. Tried with us despite contract not due for renewal for 12 months. Offerring riduclous prices! They work by pretending to be your current energy supplier then calling back with a 'cheaper' option for you!

Utility Savers - Works with someone with a similar number to try and coerce you into an energy contract. Even went so far as to say our contract had to renew a year in advance and if we didn't within the day it would lock us in for a 2year rate. Absolute nonsense, don't fall for these scammers.

Call pretending to be from EDF with their prices then I receive an email from utility savers with prices that are massively unrealistic and to good to be true. Then utility savers then call back and claim they are an approved broker of EDF. I asked for their company number as they should be listed on companies house - radio silence while they checked so put down the phone.
Within 2 minutes, "David from EDF" then called me back and claim that utility savers are an "approved broker" and we should go with their deal! Should he put on their records that we will be going with utility savers? I said no and put the phone down.
Ended the call and phoned EDF they are aware of these types of scams and they have even tried to scam EDF themselves! Unbelievable the lengths these scammers will go to! -

Received numerous calls from this company today offering 'too good to be true' rates to renew our energy contracts. They also made other calls to us pretending to be from energy suppliers encouraging us to take this great deal. When questioned it was obvious that the callers were not from EDF or any other energy supplier. I don't know if this is just aggressive marketing or a scam (I'd guess at the latter) but I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole.

Same as all the other comments on here claiming to switch our gas off. When rejected he went on to blocked our business lines with constant calls and abuse until i had our phone company block them.
He (Steve Wilson from India) also called from 0800 7412541 and 01254789652 - all now blocked. -

Originally received a phone call from Sam at Utility Savers regarding our energy renewal. We then spoke to our energy provider who confirmed we had already renewed and relay this message to a David supposedly from SSE when he called back (again) to discuss the renewal. This time he said if we didn't renew by 12:30pm then they would switch our electricity off (its now passed 12:30 and our electricity is still on!!!!!). He was very rude and persistent. I wouldn't give him any information and eventually after getting very annoyed with him I put the phone down. This then caused to us to receive a further consecutive 3 calls from 0345 0262658 number (which was also him/them) which we have since ignored.

Man with an Indian accent claiming to be from British gas renewals department. Told me we are up for renewal (our contract doesn't run out for another 18 months) I heard a car/moped horn in the background so I asked him why I heard this and he told me "it's because I'm in the BG renewals department" Enough for me to know he's not who he claimed to be.

Sam from "Utility Savers - partner of British Gas"
Rude, persistent and probably not genuine. Had a conversation with them then they called back and said we are now entered into a verbal contract that cannot be cancelled, when we explained that we will be dealing with Scottish Power instead this company (i think literally the same person) then called back pretending to be the credit control department from Scottish Power rejecting our business! Re-phoned Scottish Power agent to double check and they dont have a credit control department and the sales operative does the credit check so definitely a fraud (illegal) call from 01163180704.
