English name with an eastern accent. Wanted to waste time with a survey.
These people are a waste of space and have no respect for the law, do not give them any details.
If you want to start to get something done, don't just whine about it, go to http://www.ico.org.uk/complaints/marketing/22 and report it. Only after they get enough reports is anything useful likely to happen. -

This number rang and I answered but the caller had disconnected. I rang 1471 and retrieved the number but it was always engaged.
I then googled it and saw it had popped up on several sites all saying it was a scam.
If they ring back I will update this comment, however I suspect it is some sort of automated system as I have not received any reply as of yet. I suggest reading the reports that you do not enter into any kind of interaction with these people. -

Male Indian voice eventually spoke asking for me by name.I did not identify myself and as he would not give any information about the reason for his call unless he could speak directly to the person he named I put the phone down. Was not surprised to see previous comments re:this phone number!

This is a hotline for microsoft software scammers trying to get you to download a so called "fix" for your pc but is actually remote access software designed to steal your credit card and banking info - do not phone it back - why this number in BRADFORDD has not been investigated and closed down i do not know!

This so called company contacted me asking me to turn on my computer as there was a problem with microsoft packages and that I had unwanted files on my pc. He wanted access to my computer. The man on the phone was extremely rude when i asked for his company name and number. When i spoke to his 'so called' manager he informed me of this number and his name being Steve Thomas. At the time my computer was on and i am unsure as to whether any information was obtained from it. Do not give this company any details of yourself.

Same as Anderson, the number doesn't accept any incoming calls (well not when I hid my number). Person identified themselves as John calling as a Microsoft Partner. Requested to check for computer faults and sell software to fix said faults.
Ofcom will not deal with directly, either make it illgal for them to contact you via the TPS service, ( http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html) or by calling your phone provider to complain.

Gasmeter replied 12/13/13, 1:29 PMI spoke to Microsoft about this caller and it is a huge scam. Microsoft have confirmed they will only ever email you of any problems and it is very rare they do. I then spoke to bt and they can't do anything to stop them as they are based in another country. People have lost thousands of pounds through these scammers. This company rang again a few months later and I had a huge row with them to the point they ended up saying things like "your mother is a whore" I was so angry. Just avoid them or tell them you've spoke to Microsoft and that you've been informed that they are fraudsters and that the police have been informed. Hope this helps
