Calling about a car accident that I did not have.
Derby Nick replied 2017-06-30 19:31:44Interesting - I've just received exactly the same type of call from the same number, timed at 1825 hrs 30 June 2017. -
silent call hang up when answer
-
Just had this number ring regarding an accident I’ve never had.
-
Called my daughter's number about a car accident she had been involved in. She is 10 years old!

Got a phonecall that was a computer generated voice telling me that the caller was Emma McIntosh from Proficient Helpdesk.
'Emma' then asked me about an accident that I 'had recently had, that wasn't my fault'. When told that it was incorrect - she abruptly hung up. No apology for wasting my time, just a very rude woman.
I don't know who she is or what she really wants, but I will find her and shit on her doorstep. -
"I have been informed that you were in a car accident which was not your fault..."
-
Calling about an accident which I never had, sounded automated
-
They asked about a car accident that want my fault. I asked where they got my number from and he gave me some nonsense about the 'rta department'. Which obviously doesn't exist. Then the man seemed annoyed with me and hung up. I never did find out how he got my number.

Called from 01628362572 now blocked and reported these scum to Ofcom
-
It was nice of her to tell me i'd been in an accident. If it wasn't for people like this, i would never had known.
-
Woman said she was from the Proficient Helpline and had heard I'd been injured in an accident that was not my fault. Hung up as soon as I said that was incorrect.
-
I just got called from this number. Hung up wen i answered. Wen i tried to ring it back it was an invalid number. If is one of those scammers telling you they heard you've had an accident, i found the perfect way to shut them up. Say oh yeah wen was that again? They stumble. You say 'well you must know. You can't know i had an accident and not know wen'. They hang up. Lol. If they get my daughter they get strung along for as long as possible with her listing the injuries she apparently suffered. They get more and more extreme until the person hangs up. Last one she got she listed so many and ended with and then my legs fell off. The guy was not amused so she said he shouldn't be ringing ppl claiming he knows they had an accident wen he actually knows nothing. Hahaha
Gingaballs replied 2017-07-04 11:31:40I always reply with "yes, I had an accident at some traffic lights....
Iwent to fart and shit all down my leg! How much will I get?"
They tend to hang up prettu fast. -
Unsolicited call. Informed I'd been in an accident...NO! Hung up once I said that.
Spoke very quickly so didn't catch the company name fully. Wouldn't repeat it when I asked them to repeat the name of the company.
Accident Claims Scam! -
Called me at 2pm. 'Car accident' i was (not) involved in. Caller couldn't tell me my own name, appeared to be automated as I heard "that's what I thought, thank you" before hanging up which was out of context to my question.

Apparently I've been in a car accident that wasn't my fault... h e c k. The 'woman' on the other end was an automated service, but a clever one - they record the woman speaking, then cut the recording to each answer/question ("hello it's emma", "My company is proficient helpline") so someone on the other end just has to play a soundboard, but it sounds like you're actually talking to a real person.
Stay away from these lovely people! ! ! ! ! ! -
Woman calling from 01628 362572 asking repeatedly about a car accident I'd had in the past two to three years (I haven't). Refused to move off accident script when I asked for name of company and details to be removed from calling list.

Call received, hung up when I answered
-
Got call this morning at 10.33 . Did nt answer it as I suspected as much. TPS needs to get their finger out and sort firms like this out. "Pevert the course of Justice offence?" Sad bit is it ll be a UK law firm who are most likely bank rolling it.
-
Silent call... some clicks, then hung up at the the other end

Enquiring about a car accident I've never had

She said: It's Pearl about your accident I said: What Accident,
She said: You had an accident.
I said: you are a disgrace, you phone people up hoping to feed off someones misery in case they have had an accident, you have no evidence to go on, I haven't had an accident, you are a disgrace.
She Said: So when was the accident you had then!!!
I said: Unbelievable you didn't listen you are a disgrace, stop harassing people and get a proper job. and before she could ask again when was my accident, I hung up and blocked number. Incredible!! -

I hope the boss gets a big fine. -
Just got called claiming I had been in a car accident. No I was not! Had this type of call before but from a different number about a month ago. SCAMMERS! Judging by the comments here and the fact that I have been called before by these people, the police should go after these people.
First a digitally produced or masked female voice asks some generic questions and even if you are clear that no accident happened, you get passed to a male with an Indian accent.
No surprise there as most of these scammers seem to originate from India or sometimes Pakistan.
The number that logs on your phone is the scam number so it is virtually impossible to trace, but after you have been passed to the real person, that number is real and goes to the scam center.
They set it up this way so all you get on your phone is a number that is "dead". When you are passed, that number does not log on your phone but it is the number that is of interest, the "real" number so to speak.
I am aware of a person who goes after these people and has the means to do so. I'm going to contact this person about this scam. He gets the number and floods the scam center with 28 calls per second effectively shutting down their operation.
Why the police don't do this to protect us from scammers like this I don't know but they should!I HATE SCAMMERS replied 2017-07-01 13:48:44Exact same thing just happened with me - synthesized female voice asking question, then onto Indian male.
Number is registered with TPS so now blocked them. -

"Isaac" of "Pearl Advice Services" re "accident". Said he was in Birmingham. When I challenged him on saying he was in Birmingham but the number is in Maidenhead, he hung up. On calling back, I got a "number not recognised" message. Clearly false. Now blocked it.
