I said im sorry this doesn't sound right to me...he got very irritated and told me to check the number it is a recognized BT number at a registered address.
He wasn't for backing down and was aggressive I told him to phone me back as i was at work and didn't have any info to hand.
I will NOT answer his calls. -
Was taken in by these people. Im short on money and thought would be great to receive some money. Have been stung for £990...put in a dispute claim through credit card company they drew money out of. Currently being investigated. Sent letter within 14 dy cooling off period to say was cancelling as had a bad feeling about it...they said they didn't receive letter....didn't send recorded, wish I had.Dont have much hope in successfully getting money back.Feel v stupid to have been sucked in and what an expensive mistake.

Had a call from someone called Scott.
Asked the usual questions, didn't get the answers he wanted but kept trying.
When I asked about looking his company up on Google he hung up. Don't give them any info.peedoff replied 2013-11-27 18:01:39I have been contacted by the same guy on my work number, have asked to be removed - then calls me to say he has had 3 missed calls from me? funny my work number is withheld and im sure I have better things to do whilst at work! -
Standard PPI stuff, knew my name and called my mobile though which was concerning. Told them I was not interested and the girl did end the call amicably. Blocked the number on my phone now.
-
This number has called me on 3 occasions - I answered the first call and told them i did not have anything to claim back for and to remove me from their database. 2 further calls have not been answered. It's another PPI scam centre but these guys are quite aggressive.
-
Absolutely time wasters. Do not even bother to pick up phone.
-
Had a call from this number usually tell them to go away, not in those words though!!
-
They rang my ex-directory land-line + I am registered with TPS ! Then as I didn't answer they rang my moby. Only a chosen few know my moby no., which just goes to prove they will ring anybodies no. Scumbags !!!!!
-
Just had a call from this number. A man called Daniel started to waffle about interest and stuff, I asked whether this was about PPI? He said it was about insurance and the interest and carried on talking about it, I asked him once again whether it was PPI. He admitted it was, I said I didn't have any, and he (rather arse-ily) said "Well, how would you know!? It's embedded in the insurance!" I said "Because I've never had a mortgage, I've never had a credit card and I've never had a loan"
He hung up. -

-
Do not give any details.. They didn't know which family member they wanted.
-
They rang my landline, claiming to be important and acting for government re ppi, or some such wording. I said I'd already heard from my bank and put the phone down.
They then rang my mobile almost immediately.
Why are these people exempt from the telephone preference service? Or do they just ignore it? -
They are a bit dim witted this lot!(The answers in brackets are mine. The very pleasant woman asked me if I had ever had a mortgage (no), credit cards (yes but always paid the balance in full), loans (no), car loan (no), purchased household goods on HP (no). She then happily told me they could get back all the charges I had paid on the above and she was transferring me to her boss!! He then started to ask me the same questions and by question 3 he realised he was getting nowhere and slammed the phone down - it made my day.
-
This Call centre rang me claiming to be Refund agency. When I said I didn't need any assistance, they hung up without even a thank you! Very Rude
-
Spent ages trying to get a list of all my previous cards/mortgages then promised an average of £1800 per claim, without saying what they were claiming for. Hung up on me when I refused to give my date of birth. Apparently they are regulated by the ministry of justice so I should trust them. Avoid!!!
-
Ifonic spent about two hours to convinced me to sign up with them to claim compensation for illegal bank/loan/credit card fees. I paid them £990 and have received absolutely nothing, no compensation whatsoever. They are licensed conmen. Keep well away.
-
Constant ringing most if the time just hang up and others trying the ppi line and wanting details from me
-
called and said they could investigate if my bank had broken the law. then they asked for my credit card number and I said no. then they hung up.
-
I don't know how they have my mobile number, but when they ring they never speak and always hang up.
-
did not answer this time as I recognised it as a nuisance caller. Not surprised to see so many complaints. Police should close them down for harassment. If you or I pestered people in the street like this we would be locked up!
-
They nearly court me out thank god i have womans instuition not too let them foil me they rang my husband first then rang me i was at work they said they would ring me back next day wanting my mortgage details! i wasn't born yesterday
Angie replied 2013-09-17 23:33:22SHOULD HAVE SAID NOT TRUSTWORTHY! -

Found the number on 1471 after I'd missed the call. Isn't the first time I've been contacted about a refund on a non existent loan ppi from this number Even contacted me on my works. Phone.

Phone rang and caller hung up when answered. Seem to get a lot of calls during the day from this number and they never speak. I am registered with the TPS and have been for over 3 years yet still seem to get these types of calls. Annoying

Guy with Welsh accent tried to tell me I was due a refund on my credit card for some transaction in the last 20 years. When asked said that his company was Ifonic (with an F), was registered with the FSA who had supplied them with my phone number in a database. I thanked him and rang off as you would do.

Usual PPI rubbish. Fair play, the (Swansea-based) guy sounded as bored with it all as I am.
