The number 0207946000 has been assigned to HMRC tax fraud
caller claims to be from HMCR, saying my tax account is being investigated and I've summoned to court but the papers where returned because no-one was home to sign for them. They give a lot of information (Tax officer ID No. etc). They wont take any personal info, just make you panic...Then they give you a number to call to make payments to the court. I called the HMRC directly to confirm.... Its just a 2 part SCAM

SCAM! They pretend they are HMRC and that you haven’t been paying your taxes, they don’t know your information so they ring from a mobile number then ask you to press 1 then they at like they don’t know why you’re transferred through and ask for your information then they will say that they have sent you letters but you haven’t replied, you will then receive a final demand letter because you have just given them your info, they will also give you a very real looking website to confirm they are legit when you call them out on a scam it will appear to be a legit gov website but intact it is made up.

SCAM!I have anxiety and they put into a blind panic saying that I owed £3000 in tax. I feel like such an idiot.they started telling me I need to get a lawyer to help me and I didn't stop crying down they phone and listen he would hang and officers would come to my house an arrest me. It genuinely terrified me and I nearly paid I'm such a moron for believing it. But they even had me go on the gov.uk website and set up some account.
