Just had a new washing machine delivered then received a call from this number who wanted me to pay extra money for insurance. Then I chose to cut the call and contact the real D & G who assured me it was a rogue call!

This is a SCAM. Most domestic appliance insurances are D&G. These scammers get lucky, more often than not. They got lucky with me, initially, until they asked me to confirm my bank account direct debit details. You already have that on file, don’t you? Yes, but ... please tell us again. Yeah, right! Go **** yourselves!

When this number called me, it came up as possible spam so I didn't answer it. I had a genuine call about an AO product that I ordered a few days ago where they tried to sell me insurance but I said no. I then get a spam call from possibly the same company but different number

I have recently contacted D&G to cancel protection for some white goods for my mother who has recently passed away. I was assured that the next dd would not go out, yet I cancelled it in my online banking .. and now I am getting calls from them .. very disappointing as their service up until this point has been satisfactory.

Called asking for name, when asked who's calling they said "Domestic and general to renew your insurance on your Russell Hobbs tumble dryer."
I do not own a tumble dryer of that brand or own insurance for an appliance. Felt like a scam call so hung up and reported it as such!

Rang to say Straight away that my call was being recorded and then my washing machine Insurance was about to expire and asked if I’d like to pay for a renewal either in full or over the year. I said I was very surprised to get a call from them as I’d always had a reminder in the post, asked if they were still posting out reminders. Person said ‘oh with everything happening it might be a bit delayed’ I was suspicious so I said as it wasn’t due for another month I’d wait until I got the paperwork.

Called this afternoon claiming to be from D&G and stated call was regarding my recent Microwave purchase. Asked my details and I said I can't be sure they were who they said and I would be giving away my data by divulging that info..Guy said "i need to confirm that i am speaking to the right person" Told him to contact me via post or email in regards to the matter and to have a good afternoon and he slammed the phone down !!!!

Always easy to deal with. These scammers are not D&G, however, and I always deal with the genuine article myself rather than going through retailers schemes. -

Said he was from Domestic and General asked for my name, and then said he could not hear me could I give it again which I did. I had cancelled a insurance with D & G and thought they were ring to make me change my name. He then asked for the first name of my address and post code, and again said he couldn't hear me and asked me to repeat it again. This is when I got suspicious and hung up. I rang D & G and they apparently do not keep a record of outgoing cals.

I took out an insurance policy with D&G recently and in the last 5 days I've been getting 3 or 4 calls a day. The 1st time they rang, it went to my voicemail when I played it back it was just a blank call, so I blocked it then. I've still had calls since then. If this is D&G being scammed, then they need to take a close look at their own company and who they share our data with! I'll be giving the real company a ring tomorrow to push this question. Glad I looked up the No. Thanks people.

The number rings back and goes to an answerphone. Unsure whether it really is domestic and general as have been scammed in the past. So didn’t purchase

I work for D&G and this is NOT a real contact number. The voicemail is laughable. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION.
AKQJ10 replied 11/30/19, 3:14 PMIf you work for D&G then they should be looking at their data security. There is a breach somewhere and the data is leaking out. I would think system hacked as your call centre appears to be locked down. Someone is giving them current information. -
