Your tellows TeamNoko replied 2017-02-17 11:51:12I have just received a phone call from these guys claiming to be from TalkTalk, I did not give any personal details however he was able to tell me what my last bill cost. I told him I do not want marketing calls and he said that it wasn't such a call, I hung up. I then rang TalkTalk to complain and they told me they are not doing marketing calls to me because I have switched off that preference. ??Frustrated of TalkTalk replied 2017-04-24 15:15:15Well, if it's really TalkTalk, I wish they'd stop the silent calls from this number!lin replied 2017-05-02 14:32:47Well I just phoned talktalk about this number and they said not them and thought it was scamPeter C replied 2018-08-04 06:29:26This is definitely TalkTalk customer service number. NOT a scam caller.Talk Talk Customer replied 2019-05-29 19:20:06I had a call from this number this evening. The reviews on here tell me it’s Talk Talk, but I’m unconvinced and think it’s spam. As soon as I answered the call the caller hung up. -
Didn't answer. Reading comments, looks like Talktalk. Makes sense. I am leaving TT. Don't answer phone any more. Too many nuisance calls.
-
Apparently talk talk. Recently joined them. They seemed to know what package I was on and when my bill would be and how much so thought the call was genuine however they started asking lots and lots of questions about previous internet providers, who else was using my internet was it just visitors, what equipment I have in my house and how much they cost me. Started getting suspicious so hung up.

This number is TalkTalk customer retention. If you have cancelled or altered any of your services, or if you sre outside of your contract term they are trying to talk you in to signing up for another 18-24 months or taking an additional add on. Having spent 18 months with sub standard service and TalkTalk doing nothing to remedy the issues, failing to return my calls or sending out a technician I cancelled my contract. Surprise surprise, now they're on the phone every 20 mins trying to convince me to stay....

Nuisance call but no one talking or responding when call answered.
-
This is talktalk but they are constant harassing cold calls should be stopped i am not even with talktalk anymore as they are a piece of crap company
DerKrobsen replied 2019-08-09 23:11:49I have reported these to OfCom. They are certainly TalkTalk but why should they operate outside of their main systems? A rogue department. -
TalkTalk own up to it (Facebook & Twitter teams) Linked In have people who claim to be working at Talk Talk Retentions in Nottingham.
Their calls are outside Talk talk's main system, there are no records of their calls if you phone Talk Talk.
Seems strange they should operate to one side.Chrissie7 replied 2019-09-20 16:52:44Keep getting calls from this number on my mobile, i ignore them. I'm with Talk Talk for fibre and landline. My reckoning is, if they needed to contact me they would leave a message asking me to return call. -
I've finally left TalkTalk after months and months of problems and now they wont stop ringing me. Its like having a needy ex! Number blocked now bye bye forever!
-
TalkTalk claim them but don't have records of their calls. They managed to cancel a transfer to another company without my permission.
Talk Talk are prohibited from contacting you while a transfer is going through, other than by letter.
I think this is an iffy way round the rules. They don't use TT main 0800 telephone number. No records kept. Trading standards next I think -
Had a call today no one on the other end. Judging by the comments on this site it would seem they are trying to find out why I’ve cancelled one it the services I had included in the boost package eg Answer Phone services. I received this in an email:-
Important update about Voicemail
We’re making changes to how we offer our standard Voicemail. From 1st August 2019, if you have Voicemail activated on your account, we will charge 2p each time you dial ‘1571’.
Well in my opinion as a new customer this peed me off. Not even BT change for this and if they continue to try and get more money me I’m going to tell they can shove their contract where the sun don’t shine. So as I’ve said it was TalkTalk calling to find out why I cancel the the service. I’m my view this company could be accused of SHARP PRACTICES. Be aware. I’m calling them tomorrow to cancel the whole contract. Hopefully they’ll realise that people are happy to go into a contract but not one that over a very short time they try to dilute it. -
Persistent silent calls - DEFINITELY not TalkTalk (and I'm not with them anyway?) AVOID.
-
Harassment calls, with no set reason. Very annoying - i've had to block the number.
-
Persistent calls over a few weeks - finally answered and it was an advisor trying to get me to sign up for fibre optic broadband. At one point I asked whether it was a sales call or the advisor was a technician, as it was not clearn. They were giving very round-about answers and not responding to direct questions. Genuine number, but aggressive sales technique.

01158600169... If this is TALKTALK I wouldn't be surprised as I dumped them last weekend, as their performance has been increasingly crap! been inundated with letters and emails since, looking to promote how good they are... they are SH*T.....lol

Thursday 23/8/18. You can be over - paranoid if you're not careful. After reading on here (after a blank answerphone message yesterday) I was ready to be nasty but listened patiently and it really seemed like TalkTalk were looking for problems experienced by inexperienced users. He explained the welcome pack (I recently joined) warned about a customer sevrices call (I don't remember seeing that) and he seemed genuinly concerned in case I was having problems and highlighted my large phone bill this month (I told him it was unusually high this month only) and reminded me about the monthly inclusive calls boost where I could have saved some money. It did seem like a genuinly "trying to nip problems in the bud before people blew them out of all proportion" call.
-
2 calls on my landline and 1 on mobile.
I dont know who it is as no message left but I have recently taken out Talk Talk services. I never answer unknown callers unless they leave a message so will now block this number. -
On the 1st October I gave one month notice to cancel my account as I am moving. Today this number called me asking if they can send a leaflet for the new owners, which I said yes. On checking my e-mails, this depart had cancelled my cancellation. After spending 3/4 hour on the phone re-cancelling and finding out that this depart gets paid on what is call "win backs". They are nothing but lying scum.
Yours Truly
One Very Unhappy & Never Ever Return Soon to be Ex CustomerFedup replied 2019-07-06 15:28:14This is happening to me right I have given a months notice as i am moving house and non stop phone calls from this number and letters offering me a better deal to stay but they can't provide their service at my new address so have had to leave now they tell me I will still be charged for landline until a new tenant moves in? I have rang them 3 times and each time I have had to go through the same questions to check service in my new area and you end up on the phone for hours each time!!! Now this numbers calls my house phone and mobile 3 to 4 times a day so now I have blocked it,very annoying company talk talk -
Don't know don't care, illegal cold calls whoever it is as my house number is never used. Many times a day for days on end.
-
Dropped my bill, selling extra internet cover. Never asked for details of bank ect. Seemed like new salesman, almost scared, perhaps my growling Scottish accent would explain that.
-
Had a silent call from this number yesterday. Today the call was answered and I complained about the silent calls and asked to speak to a supervisor. Told him to consult this website and that the silent calls must stop. He tried to blame "technical problems". It was genuine Talktalk.
-
Nobody spoke - just silence for several seconds, no background noise, then they hung up
-
been getting 3 calls a day from this number for a month now and every time I pick up the phone they hang up, so I presume its scam as in my experience unless you speak to talktalk CEO there doesnt seem to be a contact in Nottingham only abroard London or Southampton
-
Very polite, it was talk talk and he got me a great deal with my phone line and broadband.
I rang talk talk customer services to make sure it was legitimate and it was.
-
just recieved a call from this number they asked for me by name and said just a quick call to let you know everything proceeding as planned and to make sure that im on right package! i asked regard what to which he simply repeated the las sentance so i hung up if this is talk talk they surly would state so!
-
Phoned twice today, did not speak....this is harassing....I did not give them my number
-
I`ve recently joined TalkTalk but am regretting already! Not only is their customer Service Atrocious but despite not being on the Public Directory I`m already getting Nuisance calls from the above number.
I answer & they don`t say anything!
Creepy TalkTalk so shame on you for passing on my Number & if it is you, STOP!

I think this is TalkTalk marketing; when I actually spoke to a person at the other end after endless 'hang up, on answer' calls, he wanted me to upgrade to super fast BB, why would a scammer do that?
I asked him about some problems I am having with my account, he told me to call 150 for router problems & 151 for mobile problems.
I have now spent 4 hours on calls & chat to TT over the past two days, they tell me it is a scammer and there is no record of the calls from TT on my account, but I am 99.9% certain it is TT.
It is bad enough that, it appears to me, that TT staff are selling customers personal details to criminals, but now we have to put up with nuisance call from TT themselves, and those that you contact in TT do not even know the numbers that customers are being called from.
I was told that on no account should I call 150 or 151, both of which are TT help lines, free from TT land lines.
Personally I am taking it to the CEO and I think all TT customers that read this should do the same, I read a press realise some years ago, apparently she enjoys an argument with an angry customer, that is what I read, beyond belief in my opinion, and the one of her personal staff that I dealt with circa Nov 2013, Ms Erica MacRae, is without a doubt the most ignorant person I have ever had to deal with when making a complaint to a company, at senior management level, and I have done a lot of complaining in my life,
TalkTalk CEO email address is:-
[email protected]
I personally think that all annoyed TT customers that read this should contact her directly and lets see how much she enjoys arguing with all of us.
If I am wrong in my assumption that this is a genuine TT marketing number then I will, put my 'hands up' to my error and leave details here, in fact when I find out, one way or another I will up date this entry, I have been told I will be contacted by management in 24 to 48 hours, I just have to hope they do not hang up on me went answer their call.
Thanks for reading and please complain to the above email address or we will all have to keep putting up with it.
And in conclusion I should say that I have selected to withdraw from marketing calls.DerKrobsen replied 2019-06-17 18:46:31I don't think she's CEO any more. Ex-Carphone Warehouse people seem to be in charge now -
Just had a call someone called Michelle said it was Talk Talk but I gave no info as I was suspicious. Will check out another time.
-
Had this number call me twice. Both times they've hung up the phone when I answered. Although a couple of people have said on here that it is Talk Talk, I can tell you that Talk Talk will only phone you if you have previously requested a call back. If you have rang Talk Talk and discussed directly with them a call back, they will give you a date and a time (they told me this and it states this on their website). If you are getting calls that are not booked, I would say it is not them. Hope this helps.
Shelby replied 2017-01-12 11:23:18It is Talk Talk. I am with them for internet and called them a week ago reporting their awful service and they keep calling now to try and persuade me to stay with them. -
Keep ringing ,sometime they say they are from something opps another time from a comparison site.want to know about Internet and landline suppliers
-
Called but son answered so haven't got many details except to say they just ask for me by my surname. As talk talk data loss lately, perhaps this is to do with leaks. First potentially dodgy call I've had since my phone was put in 3 years ago!
-
Received two calls from this number apparently from Talk Talk but isn't.
Talk Talk do not have a call centre in Nottingham. -

I don't use comparison sites.
There is no such thing as a 'free lunch' -
The number 0115 860 0169 is not from Talk Talk . TalkTalk have denied this number belongs to them in a conversation on a twitter feed. The number is just a nuisance call, especially when they hang up all the time.
Pendragon replied 2019-06-17 17:28:19Call the number. It IS Talk Talk. More reliable than an anonymous Twitter feed.
If this phone number keeps calling you, the answer should be yes!
