Claimed to be from a mortgage advice company and asked for me by my name. I asked how they had my details and they said that my details had been passed onto them by another broker company and gave a fake phone number for them. Scam.

Rang lots of time and sometimes hanged up once answered. Decided to answer and they rang to ask about mortgage. I said we don't have one he then asked about life insurance and I said my husband deals with that he then ask about home insurances where I said I look around for cheap deals my self and then he said he would update his records and said goodbye. It could be a company that searches for deal or This could be a way to get you details so could be dangerous so be be careful and think twice about giving out personal details.

Called to offer me a better rate on my mortgage. I don't have a mortgage and they asked if I wanted my details removed, I said yes and was told this could take 1 business day. 23 hours later I received another call, I've since had a call yesterday and today. Next time they call I'm going to get the full company name and complain to the ICO.

female caller phoned at 19:30hrs claiming to work in conjunction with Nottingham Building Society. She claimed we should be receiving a better rate. I asked her company name, she reiterated working alongside Nottingham. I said that I had a mortgage advisor. Do Not Give Details, a defintite cold, fake call.

They keep calling me several times a day. Called back..... ring tone switched to ringing another line. Person answered in a “Hello ,Direct enquiry’s” fashion........I hung up.........called the number after hours........ and an answer phone message says “You were called today on behalf of the mortgage advice company”!!.....I DONT EVEN HAVE A MORTGAGE !!!.....

They called me about my mortgage (they know who it iswith). I told them I was a mortgage adviser and they said they would remove my number. They obviously do not know that they are not allowed to cold call for mortgages.

Have been ringing me for days and finally caught me out when I answered. Said their records show they could save me some money on my mortgage! Bearing in mind I’ve just tied in to a fixed rate with a completely different bank to see how and told them so, then he asked what I’m paying in insurance premiums and when I said I’d really rather not say, he just hung up! I’m never rude to those people so why they feel they can be rude to me when it’s them that has invaded my privacy riles me!
Something really should be done about these unsolicited calls - a complete nuisance! -

I've just recived call from this number. Man on the phone was saying he work as a Mortgage Adviser and it's connected with Halifax bank. He had my previous house address and was saying that it is address I've got my mortgage on. I've disconnected immediately. Don't give them any of your details!

keep calling constantly, leaving message on machine " if you no longer wish to be called by us call us on 01332257041 to be removed from our system".
No doubt this is where the cost is! I did'nt call back, they should at least have the decency to announce who they are in the first place.
