Had same cold call from a guy called Cameron. I sensed it was a scam or a company who had got my details. He asked me to confirm different things, so I played dumb.
I asked if he could email the details and he said ye didn’t have email access. What company doesn’t?
Avoid!!!

Don't be fooled, they are pretending to be an EE number (quite easy to mask the real number with a fake one). Really noisy background and confirmed my name but the other details they kept asking me to confirm by giving first part of postcode then repeating but for second part of postcode. Such a scam!

Called me saying they were from EE which I looked up on google while he was on the phone and that seems to be the case. Very noisy background and the young lad said he was following up from a phone call i had made the previous day about broadband & a new phone (this is correct). I told him I couldn’t get the price down as much as I wanted because I had to be on pay as you go for 3 Months before I could get their 20% discount offer.
He persuaded me to get the fiber plus broadband for £23 a month so I gave him my card details. He said my credit check had been declined! I mean this is possible but I’m suspicious if it really was because he then said the way round it is if I sign up for a pay monthly sim too!
I kept telling him I’ll need to think about it because I don’t want to screw myself down the line when I want to get an iPhone deal and he wouldn’t take no for an answer. After going round in circles him answering back to me every time I said I need to think about it and no just sign because I’m pressured — I said I’m hanging up now but I’ll ask for your name if I call back so you get your commission.
Now really wish I could know if my credit check really was declined or it was part of a bigger tactic -

Rang twice today first time asked me for my full name and password I hung up when they asked for my password, second time they rang asked me for my full name and what phone I have, could hear alot of noise In background they then said the computer had froze and had to put me on hold but I hung up instead, number now blocked

Called at 7.22pm missed a call yesterday from the same number ao answered. Didnt ask for any details just asked if i had completed my query as i am looking to change to ee. I completed online today so he offered a Samsung watch offer which i rejected as i wont use it. Asked about home internet but im locked into a different contract. Wished me a nice evening and ended the call. Never asked for any details or my name / address or passwords

Said he was from EE and calling to make sure I knew about offers available. Asked my full name and first line of address. Then asked what make of phone I have. I said IPhone and he asked which one. I don’t know (don’t judge me!). He said can’t continue until I tell him as this was part of security- I said you phoned me. He wanted me to find out and I repeated that he phoned me so I wasn’t about to put myself out. Call done!

Called about a phone I ordered on Friday just to see how I was getting on with it but I said it was out of stock and had to order another colour told him to came up as a potential fraud so he text me his name on came up as EE ask me for 2 characters from my password

They're an outsource contact centre employed by EE - nothing fraudulent as far as I can see, just a little annoying as they seem to outbound call you when you've been in contact with the main EE call centre, to check the service was good and up-sell you on broadband, etc.

Everyone keeps saying that it’s not from EE but if you go and look at EE partners numbers on google THIS NUMBER 01462341325 is on that list ..again I received a call they knew my name I didn’t give no password Or anything but again it’s a EE Partner as directed on their website.

I’m s member of EE And called the main branch to report it and ask why I was being contacted by them seeing as I’d spoken to them the same morning ,was told by the EE office that no one had tried contacting me so the number 08000798586 (main office uk ) has no knowledge of hitchin number so yeah seems well dodgy

Said he was ringing regarding my order for EEBroadband, I said I haven’t ordered EE Broadband. Asked who I was with and how’s it going. I then said it’s ok thanks, he said ok thanks goodbye. It was very muffled and the caller said it was from Hitchin, England.

This is genuinely EE despite what everyone else is saying. If you hang up of course they will call you back in case the call dropped. Spoke to a very polite sales person looking to see if I wanted any additional lines.
As soon as I said I was happy with what I currently have and not interested in additional lines he said thanks, have a nice day then kindly disconnected the call.
Sometimes it is about how you answer and what you say. They are focussed on sales so of course they will try to sell you something.
