Will reported unknown with the number 02085075698 as Cost trap
Had a call from these today. Said he was from BT. Wanting to speed up my broadband. (I knew instantly it was not BT and it was about to be a scam) 1. I don't use BT for my broadband and 2. I told him I don't even use my phone only use a mobile. Told him you have got this one wrong. Hung up. The danger has happened with a friend who coincidentally is with BT and has had a phone/broadband fault ongoing. He has received one of these calls. They believed it was BT following up their fault. He gave them their mobile number, now keep ringing it. Beware this looks like a new scam masquerading as BT.
Don't know what the scam is, as it didn't progress but warned my friend to ignore them.
