Could not understand this caller, foreign language
carol replied 2020-12-17 00:38:04i could not understand a word they said put phone down and they was on my message machine they sounded foreign they were talking in there language and a dog was barking it seemed like there was a lot of people in the back ground talking -

Called three times. First was saying they were from British Gas. Indian woman. Wanted to book fitting of meter. I said absolutely not. She hung up. Second call rang off.

This number called claiming to be British Gas to make an appointment to fit a smart meter. I told them I didn't want one. They then said everyone is getting one "because of the covid-19" so obviously a scam, so I got very angry at which point the hung up. I suspect they are one of these firms that transfers people's accounts to an expensive supplier and they get paid for every transfer they achieve.

Called and played a recorded message to my answering machine promoting the British Gas website in contravention of my express wishes to not be contacted for marketing reasons by any means.

I received a call a few moments ago on my landline from a foreign sounding lady saying she was from British Gas and wanted to make an appointment to have my meters upgraded. I asked her to confirm she was from British Gas which she agreed. I asked her to call me back tomorrow at 11:00 which she agreed. I checked the number on the Interweb and found myself here. If the clown calls back tomorrow I'll update you here, however; somehow I don't think that will happen!

1pm 20/1/20 - Claiming to be from British Gas - our gas meter needed replacing. Could hear it was a busy call centre. Very strong Indian accent and hard to understand. Told to put it in writing to us and hung up, blocking the number.

Cold call from British Gas.
Totally ignored the "no phone calls" on my account.
Following service by engineer (Boiler passed with fling colours), British Gas trying to sell me a new boiler as mine is getting a bit old.
Telemarketer told in no uncertain terms that I don't want a new boiler and definitely don't want to receive such a call on the Saturday before Christmas.
If this phone number keeps calling you, the answer should be yes!
