Cancelled my Virgin TV, Broadband package by letter to Virgin Media early August. Some phonecalls came into my mobile number from private mobile numbers (wanted my password - cut off the call). Then the calls from this number started, 6 over a week. Stopped answering them and mostly dropped calls. It is a bit of a coincidence that I had just cancelled my subscriptions!!! |The giverway was 'I am just calling you from Virgin media about you recent changes to your account'.

This is NOT virgin. I called Virgin to ask about this number.
They told me it has nothing at all to do with them.
They do however acknowledge that the company who are using this number has a frightening amount of customer details, which Virgin say they are investigating.
Again, this is NOT virgin. To get rid of them simply tell them you have contacted Virgin who have instructed you to hang up and report it to the authorities.

Caller id came up saying virgin media told them I'm not giving any details to them.hung up phoned virgin myself .who said it is not one of them numbers and it was most likely a scam.so beware dangerous number. BLOCK IT AND REPORT IT TO THE CYBER CRIME DEPT OR THE POLICE FRAUD PREVENTION TEAM.

House phone Constantly receiving calls from this number sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. Driving me insane. I am unable to understand what they are saying half the time , this is harassment at its best. Virgin informed me I shouldn't be receiving these calls hopefully they have dealt with this matter and the harrassment will STOP.

previously heard a report on radio 4 that if you get an 0800 number ringing your mobile it's likely a scam so I answered and said nothing, I gave them silence, they hung up, not had another call from them.
