   This number, 08454290023, called me again the same day, March 31st., while I was out.

   These people have been calling me on numerous occasions for at least a year, with their familiar recorded voice telling me they are pleased to inform me I am entitled to a p.p.i. refund plus compensation, but they use different numbers. This one does not appear to have been reported on Tellows before but it is ranked as untrustworthy elsewhere. I had just received a similar call, but not from the same people, from 0845290069, which was also a recorded voice I had heard dozens of times before. Meanwhile I had, in two days, received ten calls from a withheld number easily recognisable because of appalling background noises. In one of them the foreign caller said he was from Talk Talk and was ringing because it had been discovered everything I put on my computer was being hacked and everything I wrote could be read by someone else. I allowed him to make his speech, asking him to repeat several things for clarity. He wanted to know when my computer would be ready, so he would be able to deal with the problem. I explained I was in the middle of an email but would be able to call him back when I had finished. At this point he rang off without another word. I felt quite sorry for having wasted so much of his time. Usually the calls do not get this far. In several cases nobody spoke. I think this has been going on since Talk Talk itself got compromised, and its chief executive told me my number had not been one of those accessed by the criminals. It is a strange coincidence. After this break I was able to return to the email I was writing.
