    This is obviously an autodialler from the length of time it took to connect me. The Indian caller said he was from BT, and my IP address had been hacked. I asked him what IP address he had listed for me - he wasn't even close. I asked him for his BT ID number - not enough digits (I used to work for BT). I told him to f*** off and hung up. This number has called me several times in the past few days, but it's now blocked with BT Call Protect.

    Caller claiming to be from BT Internet said that my internet connection had been reporting viruses. Very heavy Indian accent. Caller became verbally abusive when challenged and hung up.

    I have had the same experience and reported it to BT Fraud department who are now investigating it. The BT engineer advised me not to answer the number anymore.

    lady called saying she was from BT and our internet had been hacked and the hacker may be monitoring card payment details. lady said she will call back again tomorrow - load of rubbish

    phoned claiming my line was hacked, i asked for confirmation of isp since i dont trust the number and searching it shown nothing, heavy indian accent with hellish loud background noise blocked them when they couldn't answer
