01709242673 Been calling for almost 2 months on a daily basis (almost) claimed to be from Vodafone and wanted to offer a better deal. I said I wasn't interested and put phone down.
Since then, they've continued to call but my phone automatically blocks numbers that might be scam or nuisance calls, it's called( HIYA APP) Id recommended everybody to have this app, it's automatically blocks numbers, phone doesn't ring.. Saves me my time and money. -

Called me today, said he is from Vodafone. Had my real name and date of birth. Wanted to take my card data to connect very cheap bundle. When I said that this is suspicious, and I always can top up my phone directly through app, he abandoned call

01709242673 called and said he is from Vodafone and wanted me to give him my debit card info. On the Vodafone website the number is listed as an official service number but it could be spoofed since the caller did not seem to have my customer data at hand. I will not tell such info on the phone.

01709242673 called me since 17th march, no calls between 18/19 but calls 2x a day every day since any time between 11am-noon and then 4pm onwards. I've rejected many of the calls and they don't get the hint. Next time I'll be answering and giving them a piece of my mind. Whatever is so important can't seemingly be told to me via a voicemail. Jokes.

I have just had call supposedly from Vodaphone offering a £5 a month deal for my mobile. He even sent me a code number supposedly to verify the call. All sounded genuine but then he asked for bank details to pay by Direct Debit. I already have a deal with Vodaphone for a £10 per month deal which I pay by Visa card. I said I would only pay that way. I gave him my sort code and then refused to give him my bank account number when he asked for my bank account details. I ended the call soon afterwards. A scam I am sure and I nearly fell for it.
Mma replied 6/30/23, 10:35 PMSame thing happened to me today. Just wanted to confirm if they cloned your phone or any sort of scam after that. As I am scared because I gave them the OTP that was sent to my phone and I’m scared they might use that to clone my phone and get more details to scam me. -

01709 242673 - SCAM - emptied bank account
I’m a support worker and one of my clients just had her bank account emptied after receiving a phone call from this number
They claimed to be from Vodaphone (it even came up as Vodaphone on my clients phone so she was not suspicious)
And they offered her a £5 a month phone contract with unlimited data and calls etc
She only gave them her sort code and account number
I then googled the phone number after speaking with my client and it showed up on many websites that this was a scam call – my client then checked her bank balance and all her money had been emptied from her account
It was everything in her account, around £300 - but she is a single mum and is a vulnerable adult with many health complaints and this was all the money she had -

If you Google “Is it Vodafone calling?” it will take you to the Vodafone website and then you can enter the number that called you and it will then tell you if the number is a legitimate Vodafone number.Gran knows best replied 6/6/23, 6:48 PMIt does show as a Vodafone number but it's not as its emptied several accounts. When I phoned Vodafone and asked if they contacted me today they said no, yet I have calls going back daily for 6wks..

Rang on two consecutive days. Missed calls both times. Surely any reputable company would leave a message? Especially a mobile phone company? Everyone knows about phone scams which are getting to record levels. If a company cold calls to sell you something, they have to check the Telephone Preference Service first.
Therefore as they’ve ignored TPS and not left an explanatory message on two occasions, I’ve blocked the number assuming this is a scam, spoofing Vodafone.
